|
FUTURE PROGRAMMES of the Society have been
envisaged on two fronts. Firstly, improvement
in the quality and reach of the present activities
and secondly establishment of new schemes
while keeping future needs of the area in
view. These future projects and programmes
of the Society have been explicated in details
here below. |
|
A. Improvement in the Present Facilities and Activities
The
Society has started its benign march without sufficient
resources at its disposal. However, by the divine grace, it
could make some significant contribution for the educational and
moral uplift of the most backward community in due course of
time mainly with the cooperation and generous financial support
of local and other patrons. During this formative phase, the
sincerity and devotion of the workers and that of the various
kinds of supporters of the Society have brought the desired
results and the mission has been carried out till today in the
envisaged direction.
The
firm foundation laid by the Society makes it easier to plan for
the next phase in which it will be very essential to improve the
existing infrastructure, to develop professionalism in
management of the units and to involve more activists at various
levels of the organisation. In this regard the following
mentioned measures would be very crucial.

Required
Funds:
Rs. 150,000

|
1. Enhancement of Teachers Training Programme

Required
Funds:
Rs.
1,000,000
ç
The
Society lays much stress on quality of its delivery system and
constantly makes efforts to improve ability of the teaching
staff, giving services to the institutions run by the Society.
It encourages them to join training-cum-orientation camp
organised by specialised organisations. Now, the Society has
planned to organise teachers’ training-cum-refresher camp every
year for the teachers of its own institutions and for similar
institutions working in nearby districts. The programme will
involve professionals in the field of education to enhance
capacity of the employed teachers and instructors. The scheme to
inter-organisation teachers’ essay competition on themes of
their profession understanding will also be a regular feature in
future. The Society will also award the best teacher of the
institution by cash award and by giving additional increment in
their salaries. |
|
2. Upgrading of the Mini-ITI to ITI
The
boys’ vocational centre of the Society, named ‘Al-Falah Mini-ITI
Centre’, is presently having facilities of training students in
such trades as electrician, motor mechanics, repairing of tape
recorders, transistors, scooter mechanic, etc. The imitative
taken in the villages Adalhata and Patihata a few years back
paved the way for the establishment of this institution.
Presently, the centre is running six monthly courses, which lead
the students to develop practical skill in some useful vocation.
However, its certificates have no advantage in the government
jobs. Therefore, the mini-industrial training institute will be
upgraded to the ITI having one year or two year courses. It will
be registered with competent authority so that its certificates
could have due recognition in the job market. The new courses
having potential of early occupation as computer hardware,
mobile repairing, health technicians, etc. would also be started
in due course.

Required Funds:
Rs. 250,000
ç
|
|
3. Addition of Production House with the
Girls Crafts Centre
The Al-Falah Sewing Centre run by the Society
for the last few years have trained many girls
in the craft of sewing and knitting. This
made the girls and women students of the centre
economically productive unit of their families.
The Society is planning to add some more courses
for the benefit of the students as well it
has been planned to start a production house
which could practically make use of talents
nurtured by the Centres and market the produce
for the earning of the associated girls and
women.

Required
Funds:
Rs.
1000,000
ç
|
|
4. Expansion of Children Welfare Activities

Required Funds:
Rs. 500,000
ç
Required
Funds:
Rs.
200,000
ç
It has been said the Society is making its
utmost efforts to eradicate the child labour
prevalent in the area especially under the
thumb of Muslim manufacturers. Its awareness
and counselling activities for
the generation
of public opinion against the child abuse
are getting roots and with the days to come
they will be further strengthened. Presently,
such activities are having concentration in
and near Ahraura town. The Society will launch
similar activities in the entire district
of Mirzapur and even in the neighbouring district.
The Society is also planning to develop a
network of like-minded activists in the area
to bring better results on this front.
|
|
B. New Schemes
Apart from improvement in the above-discussed
existing activities, the following new schemes
will be undertaken by the Society depending
upon availability of resources.
|
|
1. Launching of Professional Courses
The
ongoing privatisation and commercialisation
of education especially that of the technical
and professional education have raised the
cost of education very high and more sought
after courses have gone beyond the reach of
ordinary students due to their shooting cost.
Moreover, such facilities are generally found
in larger cities and the students of backward
regions have to migrate to such areas or remain
deprived of the better and choicest education.
However, the opening frontiers in education
have also shown the way to remove this difficulty
through the provision of open mode of education.
Consequently, sprawling number of study centres
are gradually coming into existence in various
parts of the country.

Required
Funds:
Rs.
3,500,000
é
The Society is planning to get affiliated
with some universities, which are providing
their study centres in some selected courses
so that the boys and girls of Mirzapur district
especially those belonging to the Muslim community
could join them and get professional education
at their doorstep. The Society has identified
a few courses to be launched shortly, as mentioned
in the following. The other popular
courses may also be taken up by the Society
in due course of time.

|
|
2. Establishment of Bachchon ka Ghar
Establishment of Bachchon ka Ghar is a dream
project of the Society. It will enhance the
already undertaken awareness activities about
the neglect and conditions of working children
of the area. The involving concept is to provide
all facilities of bridge courses,
counselling,
vocation training, skill improvement training,
boarding, recreation, participatory activities
in the alleviation of children’s conditions
and so on while keeping in view a wide spread
issue of child labour and the conditions of
working children mainly in carpet industry
and Bidi manufacturing. The said house of
children will be a short of stay home as well
as a learning centre; a source of strength
as well as a hub of activities; and centre
of empowerment as well as an inspiration of
future life. The Children’s Home of
the Society will bring out the children from
their present adversities and to a world of
dream with the help of local activists and
moral and material support from outside. Therefore,
the proposed house will have the following
facilities:
a. Classes for bridge courses
b. Classes for mainstream education
c. Counselling
d. Vocational training
e. Hobby groups
f. Library
g. Hostel & Mess
h. Earn and Learn Centre
The Society will undertake periodical survey
of the area to ascertain qualitative and quantitative
state of the working children and it will
cooperate other local, national or international
organisations working for the cause. The Society
will generate resources for the said programme
by approaching national and international
funds available to reduce child abuse.

3. Establishment of Rural Growth Centre
It is been stated that Mirzapur district
comprises a highly rural area with more than
85% population living in non-urban settlements.
It is evident that without the overall development
of people of the area their proper educational
uplift would remain a distant dream. The government
has also realised this fact that for the advancement
of the country rural development is crucial.
Consequently, a number of strategic schemes
have been launched for the progress and well
being of people living in rural areas. Establishment
of Rural Growth Centre is one among them.
The Society cherishes to establish such a
growth centre in some suitable place in or
around Ahraura in near future. The scheme
of the RGC involves following and other activities
and earnestly feels to commence these scheme
as early as possible.
a. Rural awareness
b. Counselling to farmers
c. Marketing facilities
d. Distribution centre
e. Community activities
f. Recreation
g. Chopal
h. Public meetings |

4. Construction of New Building for Al-Falah
Niswan College
It has found mention earlier that Al-Falah
Niswan College is one of the major activities
of the Society. Presently, around 400 girls
students get education from nursery to senior
secondary education. Therefore, technically
the present level of the institution is that
of an inter-college. It is the only girls
school in the area, which has exclusive facilities
for the growth and development of girls. Apart
from the general and optional subjects the
students are imparted education and training
in home science, sewing, knitting, etc. The
senior girls are constantly exposed to women
related issues. At the time of their departure
from Al-Falah Niswan College, generally speaking,
its students not only have their proper education
but also efficiency in household necessities
and awareness regarding the women issues in
particular.
The present building of the college has long
become insufficient to fulfil the increasing
demand. Presently, 400 students have been
accommodated in an old building, which has
not only become shabby and highly repairable
by this time but also inadequate to house
the increasing number of students. Moreover,
with the idea to establish a degree college
for girls getting stronger, there is a strong
feeling that new suitable building of Al-Falah
Niswan College should be constructed where
classes of secondary level and in due course
that of the degree level could run. It is
envisaged that the classes up to junior high
school (middle) would be carried on in the
present building.
The Society has acquired a land of 750 sq
meter in Takiya Doman area of Ahraura town
for the proposed new building of the college.
As per the architectural plan there will be
the following infrastructural facilities in
the new building:
a.
Ground Floor
b. First Floor
c. Second Floor
d. Third Floor

Required Funds:
Rs. 12,830,000

5.
Construction Al-Falah Niswan Primary School
IA new building in the new campus will be
constructed for housing Al-Falah Niswan Primary
School.

|
|
6. Construction of Girls Hostel
It should be noted that a large number of
parents are demanding enhanced facilities
of lodging and board. The presently arrangement
accommodating 100 students seems quite in
sufficient as compared to the existing and
potential demand of parents from distant areas
for admission of their daughters in the college
while availing hostel facilities. Therefore,
conjoined to the construction project of the
new building of Al-Falah Niswan College is
the construction project of Girls Hostel for
100 inmates in full swing.
|
|
7. Purchase of Land for the New Campus
The management of Islamic Society has developed
this feeling for quite some time that it should
acquire sufficient land in outskirts of the
town for future activities. There is little
scope of proper expansion of future plans
of the Society while considering the present
location and infrastructure in view. Therefore,
the Society is planning to purchase suitable
and sufficient land for future expansion and
growth of its activities.
